We recently had the pleasure of welcoming visiting Rotary Members from Rotary District 2071 in Florence, Italy, through the Rotary International InterCountry Committee cultural exchange program.
The visit was especially meaningful following a previous trip by members of Rotary District 7430 to Italy, continuing a growing friendship and partnership between the two districts. The exchange provided an opportunity to strengthen international relationships while sharing Rotary’s common commitment to service and community.
During their visit, members of both clubs volunteered together at Care & Share Thrift Shoppes, working side-by-side in the spirit of Service Above Self. As part of the visit, the Italian Rotary club presented our President, Sarah Bergin, with their club flag, a symbolic gesture representing friendship, goodwill, and international connection.
Following the volunteer project, members gathered for lunch at Rotary Park, where fellowship and conversation continued in a relaxed setting. The afternoon highlighted the lasting friendships and cultural understanding that Rotary helps create around the world.
We extend sincere thanks to our friends from Florence for their service, generosity, and friendship. We are grateful for the opportunity to share this experience together and look forward to continuing the connection between our clubs in the years ahead.
