ST Rotary Speech Contest Chairperson Ginny Vandenburg with 1st Place winner Riya Mehta and President-Elect Frank Tranzilli

The Souderton Telford Rotary Club was proud to host this year’s 4-Way Test Speech Contest, showcasing the exceptional talent, insight, and leadership of Souderton Area high school students.

Each participant delivered thoughtful speeches inspired by Rotary’s guiding principles — The 4-Way Test — challenging themselves and their audience to consider what it truly means to act with integrity and service in mind.

This year’s winners are:
🥇 1st Place: Riya Mehta, 12th Grade
🥈 2nd Place: Jillian Wexler, 11th Grade
🥉 3rd Place: Sawyer Jones, 12th Grade
🏅 4th Place: Navya Vysyaraju, 12th Grade

The 4-Way Test asks four important questions:
  • Is it the truth?
  • Is it fair to all concerned?
  • Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  • Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Our contestants explored these questions with confidence, clarity, and conviction. Their speeches reflected not only strong public speaking skills, but also a deep understanding of ethics, empathy, and leadership in today’s world.

We congratulate Riya, who will go on to represent our club at the next level of competition. We also commend Jillian, Sawyer, and Navya for their outstanding performances and for the courage it takes to stand before an audience and speak from the heart.

Thank you to our judges, families, educators, and Rotarians who supported this meaningful program. Investing in youth leadership continues to be one of the most impactful ways we serve our community — and these students give us great confidence in the future.
